Reflecting on my Blog

Reflecting upon the short lifespan of my blog I've come realize that it really hasn't done for me what I've wanted it to...

At first I was looking for a place to vent my frustration and anger towards things that I found unfair in the world; which I've done. But I also wanted a place where I could talk about other things that would constantly inspire me to keep writing.

The more this blog goes and the more I realize that I don't wake up with an idea of what to post, I don't walk around going "that's a great idea for something to write on my blog". The exercise of writing this blog was primarily a way to exorcise my demons and it seems to have worked, because now to write this blog I have go through a million news articles in the morning to find something that shocks me enough or makes me angry enough to write about.

I'm not exactly sure what the goal of this particular post is, but I just thought I'd put it out there anyways. Maybe this is the end of this blog, or just the end of this blog as we know it. But either way, for me, it's time to rethink and retool the purpose of my little corner of cyberspace.

I´m going through something like this right now with hechiz... but I tell you, this always gonna happens to everyone has a blog, and the purposes to mantain it are multiples and the same to kill it, so, as your reader, I feel the need to ask you not to kill it but change it... this moment pass away faster than you can even note it, you´ll see it!

Well thanks Lia! I appreciate it... I went through the same thing a few months ago and I took two weeks off from writing on my blog in May... I thought it would help but it didn't...

Maybe this time it will be different :D

This is just a sign that it's becoming better, edgier, and with a life of its own. Keep on keepin' on!

well, well, well... it seems like people DO read your blog... and in the same way we're gonna miss it if you quit.
so, like lia saids this things hapen... by the way, I'm in the same place that you both... I can't write anything (not even mails) since 1 or 2 weeks ago.
será una enfermedad? maybe is the gripe aviar... or something...
debe ser una epidemia de esterilidad intelectual... :P

You're right Deya... it's either an epidemic or this is the "Summer of writer's Block" for many of us for some reason.

I always have a million things to say but not always about politically minded things, perhaps I've been trying to focus too much on one thing instead of speaking my mind. Meh... let's try something a little different from here on in. Wendy is right, I can write about other things (at least I think I can...)

Et Charlie, comme toujours. merci de m'encourager mon homme!

Thanks again, all of you, for the encouragement!

that's exactly what happened to me in the last weeks... everything that comes to my mind aren't about fidel...it's more about life... and the way I see it...
maybe I have to follow wendy's advice aussi.

Exactly!!! I've been more inspired to write about everyday things than actual political things.

Wendy gives good advice... take it!

Merci bien, mon vieux....
I think you've got a wild horse here. And yeah, that's the only thing you can do, to tame it and ride it.... And write about it in the process....
Keep on goin'!

Maybe you're putting too much pressure on yourself.

I think a lot of people start blogging thinking that they're going to change the world in big ways. They might.

But if something like a blog makes a big change in the world, it's going to be in small ways -- one person at a time.

I'd encourage you not to get down on it, and to continue.
