It was at that point the journalist stood up and threw a shoe. Mr. Bush ducked, and it narrowly missed his head.
No one says what happened to the guy after he was tackled by the soldiers though... I'd be curious to see a follow up story on this.

Too bad the guy's aim wasn't a little better. He almost got him with that second shoe.
lol... I just can't believe the guy had time to throw a second shoe! How much does secret service not care about Bush?
If he was throwing anything more dangerous than a shoe they probably would have shot the guy.
Unfortunately, it would have been harder to feel sorry for the guy.
these shoe throwing games are too funny, I guess this is freedom of speech in action...
